What is this service?
The Listening Place provides free, face-to-face support, to those who feel that life is no longer worth living. The service is run by trained volunteers and mental health professionals, who hold fortnightly sessions with patients which aim to help them discuss, examine and reflect on their situation.
Criteria
- Able to travel to one of the service sites (Pimlico, Kings Cross or Hammersmith)
- 18 years old or over
- Has expressed some level of suicide ideation

Rejections, DNAs & other Quirks
- Only face-to-face appointments are offered
- The service will contact the patient within 24 hours of receiving a referral. If they are unable to get through, they will continue trying over the next 5 days. Referrers will be made aware of any failure to contact.
