What is this service?
The Gaia Centre provides confidential support services for patients experiencing gender-based violence. Services include:
- Independent gender-based violence advocacy (IGVA) team: supports women at risk of serious harm
- Peer support scheme: help break isolation, build social networks and support patients whilst they regain control of their life
- Sanctuary scheme: focusses on improving home safety
- Early intervention service
- Specialist support service
- Counselling
- Group support
Criteria
- Live in Lambeth
- Woman and girls aged 13 and over
- Men aged 16 and over
- Transgender and identifies as male, female, as another gender, or is questioning their gender identity
Additional service-specific criteria
- Specialist support service - girls aged 13-16
- Early intervention service - anyone aged 11-17
