What is this service?
Beat Eating Disorders provide emotional support to patients with an eating disorder. Services offered include:
- Helpline
- Bolster programme
- Momentum programme
- SharED support
Run by trained support workers who provide free, confidential support and information about eating disorders. The helpline can be contacted via phone, webchat and email.
12-week coaching support for adults with an emerging eating disorder or signs of disordered eating
A self-help programme, based on cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), for adults with a binge eating disorder. The programme is supported by eight telephone sessions with a trained facilitator, over a maximum of 12 weeks.
One-to-one email support, over 12 weeks, from a volunteer with experience of an eating disorder
