Hello!
What’s in this guide
This guide contains all of the information you might need to know about our employment policies and procedures, benefits of working with us, and our company values. It should be the first place you check if you have a question about your employment with us.
For example, if you’re not well and can’t come into work you can find out what to do on our Sickness page. Or, if you’re pregnant and want to know more about types of leave and how to tell us you’re taking leave, you can find out more in our Parenthood pages.
How often to use this guide
If you’re a new member of the Penrose Health team, you’ll have been sent this guide as part of your Onboarding & Pre-Start Checks. You should read through the most important bits first of all, and then familiarise yourself with the rest of the handbook as and when you have the time.
You can check back in on this guide as often as you need to look up specific policies, as and when you need to know about them.
How we update this guide & you
We’re always updating this handbook with new information and policies as they change. We’ll also try and change anything that’s confusing or just plain incorrect based on your feedback (that you can send to us here).
If there are any major changes to our policies we’ll let you know in our 💡 Update box on the Company Handbook homepage. We might also let you know via a post on Teams, an email, or by mentioning it in the monthly Townhall meeting.
For smaller changes such as updating incorrect or confusing information, we won’t usually notify you of any changes to keep your inboxes nice and tidy (although we might still put a small update in the 💡 Update box).
Where to go for other information
If you can’t find what you’re looking for about a specific area that’s covered in this handbook, there’s a box at the bottom of each page that tells you who to contact for more information.
This handbook is predominantly focused on information about your employment with us - if you’re looking for more detail and resources about your specific job role, speak to your Line Manager or have a look at our Job-Specific Handbooks.
Temporary updates like events and seasonal changes will be communicated to you by your Line Manager, as well as being announced on Teams (and sometimes email). For example, keep an eye on our Penrose Health Teams to see the latest social events happening!
