What is this service?
If a patient believes that the wait time for an ADHD/ASD assessment is too long, they can seek a Right to Choose (RTC) referral. This means that they can select a different service to receive the assessment at, Psychiatry-UK being one of these services.
Psychiatry-UK can provide medical diagnoses and treatment recommendations for ADHD and ASD. All Psychiatry-UK psychiatrists are GMC-registered specialist consultants.
Criteria
- Registered with a GP in England
- 18 years old and over
How to refer
- Complete the appropriate form and GP request letter:
- ADHD: 'Adult ADHD Self-Report Scale (ASRS-v1.1) Symptom Checklist' and 'ADHD RTC GP request letter'
- ASD: 'AQ10 form' and 'ASD RTC GP request letter'
- Take both of the above to your GP
- The GP must then write a referral containing the following:
- A covering letter
- Patient information
- Patient forms
- Send the referral to Psychiatry UK via email (p-uk.RTC-referrals@nhs.net) or post
