What is this service?
This service provides a comprehensive outpatient service run by a team of specialist paediatric therapists.
Therapists regularly attend the Cystic Fibrosis clinic and Paediatric Rheumatology clinic. In this environment, patients and families have instant access to a therapist, for regular reviews or for new patient referrals.
Services include:
- Orthopaedic concerns e.g. torticollis, talipes, poor foot posture (in-toeing), bow-legs, knee pain, back pain
- Post fracture mobilisation/rehabilitation
- Hypermobility
- Rheumatology conditions, such as arthritis and hypermobility
Criteria
- Children, aged 0-16
- Resident in Lewisham or in full-time education in Lewisham or whose GP is in Lewisham
- Conditions including: general musculoskeletal problems, gait education, post-fracture rehabilitation, hypermobility and developmental problems.
