What is this service?
Lambeth Single Point of Access (SPA) is the SLAM local assessment and liaison team for Lambeth, consisting of mental health professionals, support workers and social workers, to access:
- visits to patients if mental health support is required within 24 hours
- one of three Living Well Centres offering short and longer term support from clinicians, social workers, people with lived experience and support workers
- other services and community groups
Once a referral is made, Lambeth SPA contact the patient to discuss the kind of help required and to agree a plan. They can:
- contact mental health services on patient’s behalf to get help quickly, or
- inform patient about community services available to them
Criteria
- Adults (18-65 years old)

Rejections, DNAs & other Quirks
- If you feel your introduction is urgent, please include ‘urgent’ in the subject heading of the email for review by clinical staff within 48 hours
- All routine introductions are processed within 14 days
- An initial outcome response is sent to the referrer within 24 hours of a decision being made
