What is this service?
The Blackfriars Settlement provides a range of services which focus on improving patient wellbeing and building an inclusive community. Services include:
- Positive Ageing Service
- Adult Education
- Digital Inclusion
Offers information, advice and support to older patients who want to stay connected and active. Also offers various clubs (e.g., arts and crafts, singing, yoga - full list and costs here).
Provide introductory to advanced courses and workshops (part-time and evening) on a range of subjects. Programmes and prices can be found here.
Provide free internet access, a drop-in session to support older people to get online, IT courses
- Osteopathy Clinic
- Thinking Ahead Programme
Free weekly clinic, run by students and University tutors, which offers care for patients experiencing symptoms of musculoskeletal conditions associated with aging (incl. rheumatic pains, osteoarthritis)
Free face-to-face and zoom group activities designed to help patients stay connected and active. Activities include art sessions, group discussions, social groups and outings.
