What is this service?
Black Minds Matter UK (BMMUK) is an online therapy service for the Black community. The service offers 12 weeks of talking therapy, delivered by a fully accredited black therapist.
Criteria
- 18 years old and over
- Full-time resident of England or Wales
- Black or black mixed heritage ethnicity
- Experiencing poor mental health and require support to work through it
- Able to commit to the full 12 weeks of online sessions
How to refer
Patients can self-refer:

Rejections, DNAs & other Quirks
- Completing the referral form will add the patient to the waiting list. Wait times are very high (12 months+), but patients can access BMMUK webinars, workshops and resources in the meantime.
- Friends, family, carers and healthcare professionals can assist the patient to complete the referral form, but they can’t complete it themselves
