What is this service?
Primary Care Community Mental Health Teams (PCMHTs) provide assessments and short-term treatment for people needing mental health support. These teams were previously called Assessment and Liaison. They work closely with acute and crisis services, and mental health services in primary care to ensure that service users receive the right care at the right time.
Southwark has two Primary Care Community Mental Health Teams covering the north and south of the borough in alignment with Primary Care Networks.
Criteria
- For anyone experiencing a mental health crisis
- All ages
- For use during office hours only (Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm)
SLAM Acute Referral Centre (for patient MH crisis outside office hours)
SLAM 24hr Mental Health Crisis Line (for patients in need of urgent MH help)
