What is this service?
Lewisham Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) provide a comprehensive and diverse range of specialist outpatient services for children, young people and their families.

Criteria
- CYP until they are 17.5 years old (at aged 17 years 6 months or above, refer to Adult IAPT)
- Registered with a Lewisham GP

Rejections, DNAs & other Quirks
‣
- A Social Communication Supporting Information Questionnaire (SIQ) must be completed by the patient’s school, otherwise the referral will be rejected.
- Ensure that the young person and family are aware of the referral and consent to it before sending anything.
- Use the ‘Duty Worker’ number below during normal working hours for any queries regarding referral, including whether cases should be considered as emergencies.
- They pay particular attention to the information provided/gained in Section D ‘Presenting Difficulty Referral Information’. A lack of detailed information in this section is likely to lead to rejection. See ‘Prompts for Referrers’ box below for more info.
