Summary of Role
The role of a Penrose Health Practice Nurse is to work with our clinical and non-clinical team to deliver the best healthcare service to our patients. More specifically, practice nurses are responsible for primary care clinical nursing duties and nursing management/administrative work.
📜Duties
- Cervical screening
- Contraception, sexual health and family planning
- Child immunisations
- Seasonal and adult vaccinations
- Travel immunisations
- Long term condition management
- Wound care
- Support of health care assistants and phlebotomists

Personal attributes
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Effectively collaborate with clinicians and non-clinical staff
Knowledge, experience and qualifications
- Strong clinical knowledge and good analytical skills
- Current NMC registration
- Experience in a GP Primary Care setting (desirable, not essential)
- Experience working with EMIS (desirable, not essential)
