Summary of Role
The role of a Penrose Health Pharmacy Technician is to work with our clinical and non-clinical team to deliver the best healthcare service to our patients. More specifically, our pharmacy technicians are responsible for managing the prescriptions and medication requirements of our growing patient population.
📜Duties
- Checking and processing prescription requests
- Working with in-house pharmacists & GPs to deal with medication related queries
- Following practice procedures to identify patients due for reviews and book them with appropriate clinicians
- Managing supply & stock levels of emergency drugs and other clinical supplies in the practice
- Liaising with local community pharmacies to address prescription related issues.
- Helping the clinical team with audits, medicines optimisation, and ad-hoc health promotion
