Locking and unlocking process
Holyrood Street front door
The front door seems to be locked (even after using my fob)
If your fob has worked but the door still won’t open it means the door has been double locked. This usually happens on the weekends and unless someone else is already in the building, it’s likely that you’ll need the physical key to unlock the secondary lock.
The key for this lock is in the lockbox by the front door (the code for this box is 1471) - please make sure to put it back into the lockbox when you’re done and also to lock up the building again when you leave (if nobody else is in the building).
Office door (at the bottom of the stairs)
I’m the first one here and the door is locked - what do I do?
🔑 You will need to unlock the outer front door! They keys are in a lockbox just to the left of the office door - the code for this box is 1976.
⏰ You will also need to unset the alarm (on the panel to your left as you open the outer door) - if you have an fob, please use that (touch it to the “tag” icon on the alarm panel). If you don’t have a fob, the code is 1144.
I’m the last one leaving - what should I do?
🔑 You will need to lock the outer door! They keys are in a lockbox just to the left of the office door - the code for this box is 1976. Before leaving, please make sure the garden door and inner door are both shut and all the lights are off.
⏰ You will also need to set the alarm - if you have an fob, please use that (touch it to the “tag” icon on the alarm panel). If you don’t have a fob, the code is 1144.
