🏥 University Hospital Lewisham & Queen Elizabeth Hospital
Overview
HATS provide non-emergency transport to UHL and QEH. They will collect patients in time for an appointment, and take them back after. HATS can also take patients home following a stay in hospital.

- Unable to make their own way to and from outpatient and inpatient appointments

🏥 King’s College Hospital
Overview
Falck UK provide patient transport to and from KCH. The service offers a variety of vehicles to cater to all patients (e.g., saloon cars, ambulances with wheelchair facilities).
Eligibility Criteria
Can’t travel to or from hospital using any other method of transport:
- because of their medical or mobility condition, or
- because their medical condition would otherwise worsen
How to book
- Call 020 3299 8000
- Bookings must be made a maximum of five days in advance and a minimum of 24 hours before their appointment
- Same-day bookings are not accepted

🏥 Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals
Overview
The GSTT transport service transports patients to and from their hospitals. Patients are conveniently dropped off and picked up from a designated waiting area (details found here). A porter can then help them get to and from said waiting area, if necessary.

Eligibility Criteria
- Medical need
- No other means of travelling to the hospital for the appointment
How to book
- Call 020 7188 2888 and select option 1
- After the call, the service will assess whether the patient qualifies for transport. If they do, the transport will be booked.
- If transport is rejected, the decision can be appealed as detailed here

🏥 Croydon Health Services
Overview
The Non-Emergency Patient Transport (NEPT) service can transport patients to and from appointments at hospitals within Croydon Health Services NHS Trust.
Eligibility Criteria
- Requires skilled assistance to transfer them to and from a vehicle
- Has a disability or condition that makes it difficult to travel by other means of transport
- Has a condition where there is a possibility of an event needing skilled assistance happening when travelling
- Has a disability that could cause a risk or embarrassment to themselves or others if travelling by other means of transport
