The role of a Penrose Health Mental Health Nurse is to work with our clinical and non-clinical team to deliver the best healthcare service to our patients.
📜Duties
- Assess and review patients with mental illnesses and personality disorders, utilizing your expertise to provide the highest level of care.
- Initiate and review medication plans, ensuring optimal treatment outcomes and patient well-being.
- Foster patient engagement by conducting thorough assessments and facilitating necessary reviews.
- Prepare and review personalized care plans, monitoring progress and making adjustments to ensure comprehensive patient support.
- Offer health promotion and advice, empowering patients to take control of their well-being.
- Make referrals and connect patients with relevant local services, ensuring they receive comprehensive and holistic care.
- Collaborate with community mental health teams, hospitals, and local charities, fostering strong partnerships and maximizing patient support.
- Work alongside our talented in-house GPs, taking a multidisciplinary approach to care and fostering a collaborative work environment.

Knowledge, experience and qualifications
- Current NMC registration
- Experience working in a GP Primary Care setting. This is desirable, but not essential. Candidates from various clinical backgrounds are welcomed
- Familiarity with EMIS (desirable, not essential)
