They are designed to capture required information, to act as a prompt for information to include, and to save time when completing tasks such as writing a care plan or a referral.
How to open a document template
Finding the right template
Common examples of document templates that you might use are:
- care plans (e.g. βMental Health Care Plan - MHN - Penrose Healthβ or βDiabetes care planβ)
- referral letters (e.g. βDesmond referral formβ or βX-ray referral GSTTβ)
- consent forms (e.g. βMSK injection consent formβ)
If youβre not sure which template to use, the exact name of the relevant template can often be found in any of our Penrose Portal pages.
Archiving templates
If you come across a template that is out-of-date, or that is duplicated, please archive the unnecessary template. To do this:
Right click the template β click βArchiveβ
Template actions
Save a document to patientβs record
Click βFileβ β βSave and Closeβ
Use the π to search for an appropriate code for βDocument Typeβ
Ensure that you change the βOnline Visibilityβ if the document should not be displayed on the patientβs online record (by default it will be displayed)
Close or cancel a document
Click βFileβ β βCloseβ
Print a document
Click βFileβ β βPrintβ
Save a document as a PDF
Click βFileβ β βPrintβ β βMicrosoft Print to PDFβ
You can then attach the PDF to an Accurx text or email to send to the patient
Re-open / edit an existing document
Go to the βDocumentsβ tab β right click on the document β click 'Edit'
