Summary of Role
The role of a Penrose Health Call Handler is to work with our clinical and non-clinical team to deliver the best healthcare service to our patients.
📜Duties
- Handle a large volume of incoming calls and written enquiries received via email/website
- Precise, appropriate and effective triage of all inbound queries and requests

- Good listener
- Strong communication and social skills
- Attention-to-detail
- Ability to problem solve, learn quickly, and remain calm, friendly and empathetic in all circumstances
- Comfortable answering calls continuously for long periods of time (with adequate breaks)
Knowledge, experience and qualifications
- Proficient computer and keyboard skills
- Basic knowledge of NHS services
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology
- Previous experience in a GP practice, or working with EMIS (desirable, not essential)
- Experience in customer service and second languages may be helpful
